Telecom Namibia on Friday, 23 February 2007, from midnight until 06h00 (early morning, 24 February 2007), will carry out software upgrading work on the Oshakati Exchange.
The upgrade work will affect all fixed-line tele-communication services in the Far Northern Regions, whose area code number starts with 065xxxxxxx. As such, all customers in the Omu-sati, Ohangwena, Oshana and partly Kunene and Oshikoto regions will not be able to make or receive calls during this period of interruption.
Any complaints or problems that these customers might experience after the planned service interruption should be reported to our Customer Service Centre at 1155 / 1133.
Telecom apologise for any inconvenience this interruption may cause to customers: „Be assured that customers will benefit from an upgraded telecommunications network“.
