WINDHOEK OPTICS RAMBLERS

Chris Nauseb, Victor Helu, Charlie Aoseb and Ellington Tjirimuje will be in action this weekend for the Brave Warriors under 23 team when they take on Nigeria under 23 on Saturday in the Independence stadium.

Good luck guys!

SOCIAL SOCCER LEAGUE

Our social side beat DTC last Friday night 4:2 and have now moved to fourth position out of ten teams on the logstandings! In a spirited performance Johnny Wilskey and Winston Tsabalala scored two goals each. It was good to see Wilko Risser in action again. Wilko is on a short visit to Namibia and has also been called up for the Namibia under 23 side for Saturday’s match against Nigeria.

This coming Friday we are playing Crusaders at 20H30 at DTS whilst on Monday, 30 June we are playing against SKW 2 at home at 19H00.

We wish Ockies and his team the best of luck!

LADIES SOCCER

Unfortunately our opponents City Girls did not show up for the scheduled league match in Rehoboth last Saturday. In a friendly against Civics that was arranged at short notice we lost 0:2. This weekend the ladies travel to Osire where we will play against UNAM in the second round robbin leg of the Khomas Women Football League.

Good luck and have a safe trip! OLD BOYS

Just a reminder that two 5-a-side tournaments are coming up on 19 July in Hochfeld and on 9 August in Otavi.

VIP CLUB

The monthly VIP draw takes place this coming Saturday at 19H00.

More than N$ 3000 are once again at stake, see you all there!

MAIN CLUB

Please diarise Thursday, 10 July when the Annual General Meeting will be held at 19H00 in the club house. The date of 17 July that was mentioned in last week’s news was unfortunately wrong. Also note, that Ramblers caps and polo shirts from the Old Boys as well as wind breakers from the Hockey section are currently for sale at the bar.
