The Department of Geography and Environmental Studies of the University of Namibia will receive a donation of scientific equipment to the value of approx. N$ 170,000.00, made available by the German Government through the German Academic Exchange Service.
The donation is granted in the framework of the Master’s Programme “Biodiversity Management and Research”, a joint study course by the University of Namibia and the Humboldt University in Berlin.
The equipment will be handed over by the German Ambassador, Arne Freiherr von Kittlitz und Ottendorf, to Dr. Pierre Smit of the Department of Geography and Environmental Studies on Tuesday, 22 May 2007 at the German Embassy in Windhoek.
