Our youngest club members, the "Smarties", had their annual prizegiving last Friday night. The Smarties won the title of most disciplined team in this year’s indoor league that was recently completed with a commendable one all draw against DTS.

This team consists mainly of junior school members who have been participating against much older teams. The following awards were made at their prizegiving:

Most committed player: Des Räntsch and Mia Ballotti

Most consistent player: Indiana Mouton

Best attacker: Jannike Brink

Best defender: Katja Smith

Top goalscorer: Britta Haensel

Comeback of the year: Verena Smith

Newcomers: Claudia Offner, Michaela Neustädt, Birte Kersten

Player of the year: Britta Haensel

Congratulations to all of you and especially Silke and Anke for pioneering this worthy project! The Smarties of today will definitely become the Ramblers hockey stars of tomorrow!

Our social side drew with SKW II two all last Monday night. We are still in fourth position on the log and will play DTS in our next game.

Just a reminder that two 5-a-side tournaments are coming up on 19 July in Hochfeld and on 9 August in Otavi.
