On the 25th of June 2007 the Busy Bodies Montesorri Pre-Primary school took a trip to Walvis Bay as part of their theme, “Transport”. They where collected by Bus from APS(Africa Personnel Services) who drove them to Walvis Bay.(Thank you very much to Andre from APS and Steven our bus driver who had that wonderful patience to drove us where we wanted to go.)
In Walvis Bay Mr. E.Engelbrecht from Westbank showed us a few heavy trucks and how a container was lifted and put on to the ground, thank you again. We also would like to thank Maria from Namport and Mrs. M.Engelbrecht who organised us a trip through the Harbour where we could look at the big ships.
The biggest surprise for the children came when we drove to the station and a train was ready for us to take us for a short trip through the station. Thank you Mr. Fanie Smit from Transnamib and all your friendly staff at the station in Walvis Bay. We enjoyed that trip very much as many of us has never been on a train before. Towards the end of the day we had our “snacktime” at the lagoon from where we all drove back to Swakopmund.
As this covered a lot of transportation methods, we would again like to thank everybody who made it possible for a great day long to be remembered.
