A week of Clay Fun for all! Swirling wet clay, flaming hot kilns and live hands-on demonstrations by experts transforming clay into fascinating works of art – join us and learn so much more! Buy handmade pottery or even make your own! We also have ceramics for you to decorate! In addition to the events below, you are invited to attend video shows and lectures by international presenters.

Theme Exhibition: “Celebration”
An exhibition of ceramics created by PAN members to invoke a festive mood.
Date: Opening Event Friday, 24 August, 18:00 and book launch of “PAN History”

Clay Olympics
Get down and dirty - join in fun clay Olympic events: take turns at a potter’s wheel to throw your own pot, or hand-build a sculpture or teapot – win a medal for the most imaginative!
All welcome – kids, adults, young and old – free of charge!

Retrospective Exhibition: “Doreen Hildenhagen - P.A.N.’s First Chairlady”

Venue: Studio 77, Old Breweries Complex
Raku Firing Spectacular
Witness the excitement of the flames, the roar of the dragon’s breath, and the transformation of clay into beautiful ceramics! This event presents a unique opportunity for public participation in the ancient technique of firing pottery. Raku fired ceramics will be offered for sale.
Date: Sunday, 26 August, at sunset
Participating workshop: “Saggar firing”
With guest potters Geraldine Hester and Angelika Orford from Botswana

This workshop is for potters and ceramists. Participation fees will be charged.
