First National Bank Sponsors NGF Rhythmic Qualifying Competition

Rhythmic Qualifying Competition On the 13th and 14th of July 2007 the Rhythmic Qualifying Competition of the Namibian Gymnastics Federation will take place at the SKW Hall in Windhoek, Olympia. First National Bank is supporting this event with 15,000 N$. Wecke & Voigts is acting as co-sponsor.
During the two day competition 120 rhythmic gymnasts from Walvis Bay, Swakopmund, Tsumeb and host SKW Gymnastics Academy can be seen in action. Rhythmic gymnastics requires a lot of training, concentration and dedication. The gymnasts perform routines with different hand apparatus such as rope, hoop, clubs, ball and ribbon accompanied by music.
Handing over the cheque to SKW Gymnastics Academy, the FNB Head of Strategic Marketing and Communication, Dixon Norval said: “The youth is important for First National Bank, not only as future customers, but also in regard to their future role in the Namibian society. Therefore we always try and support role models such as these gymnasts. Being a role model does not come easy as witnessed by the success that follows many hours of dedication and training.”
First on the list and highlight will be the competition of the top gymnasts in Namibia on Friday, the 13th of July from 10h30 until 12h30.  Afterwards young talents of different levels and age groups will take over. Prize-giving will be at 17h00.
Saturday morning the competition will commence at 9h30. The prize-giving of the day is scheduled for 14h30. On both days, spectators are welcome.  The entrance fee is 10 N$ for adults and 5 N$ for children.
