HOCKEY

Silke Pennefather and Yolande Fourie have been selected for the National Hockey team that will partake in the African Games in October and the Afro Asian Games in November this year. Furthermore, Silke has been appointed as captain and Yolande as vice-captain of the side whilst Anke Haensel will be the manageress and Christopher Hentzen the physiotherapist. Ramblers rules!!

Recent results in the various hockey leagues are as follows:

Field hockey premier league: Ramblers ladies beat DTS 1:0, WOB 5:1 and WOB 4:0!

Field hockey first league: Ramblers ladies lost to UNAM 0:1, drew 0:0 to DTS and 0:0 to UNAM.

Field hockey premier league: Ramblers men drew to WOB 0:0

Night league: Ramblers ladies drew 0:0 to DTS and lost 0:1 to WOB (ooops!!) in the premier league

Night league: Ramblers men drew 2:2 to WOB and lost 1:2 to DTS in the premier league.

SOCIAL SOCCER LEAGUE

Two league home games were played last week and won in convincing fashion!

Last Thursday we beat DTS 5:0 through goals by Johnny Wilskey, Winston Tsabalala, Wilko Risser, Patrick Jagger and Giuseppe Calabrese. On Tuesday night, 8 July, we beat Crusaders 5:2 through goals by Patrick Jagger(2), Giuseppe Calabrese, Johnny Wilskey and Winston Tsabalala. These good results have now moved us to third position on the logstandings. Well done guys! Next week Friday we play logleaders SKW at SKW.

LADIES SOCCER The first league match in the Khomas Woman Football League was played last Saturday against Queens from Rehoboth and we won by two goals to nil! Goalscorers for Ramblers were captain Jacky Gertze and Dietlind Foerster. Congratulations on this fine victory! This Saturday we are playing Osire at 13H30 and W.C.E. at 16H50 at the Young Rivals field. Good luck!

OLD BOYS

Just a reminder that two 5-a-side tournaments are coming up on 19 July in Hochfeld and on 9 August in Otavi.

VIP CLUB Paul Ferreira was not at the Club when his number was drawn last Friday. So make sure you are at the Club this Friday at 19H00 when you could win N$ 250. The next monthly draw is on Friday, 25 July.

MAIN CLUB

Ramblers caps and polo shirts from the Old Boys as well as wind breakers from the Hockey section are currently for sale at the bar.
