For many years the Alte Feste Lions have supported the Dagbreek-school for disabled children situated in Klein Windhoek.
The service-committee headed by Willi Peter has recently decided to support the school’s “agricultural project”. Two cultivation areas had to be equipped with an irrigation system and the company Sinclair Services have offered to carry out the complimentary work. The Alte Feste Lions have donated material worth N$ 4. 000,00 (Four Thousand N$)
A second project also required the help of the Alte Feste Lions. New shade-netting for the vegetable garden  were required and wholly unbureau-cratically the amount of N$ 5. 500,00 (Five thousand and five hundred N$) was provided by the treasurer of the Alte Feste Lions.
On the 19th of July the Lions Willi Peter and Bernd Kroemer handed over the donation to principal  Paul du Plessis. The kids were very joyful – now they can plant even more vegetables, which will then be offered at the school-owned kiosk, daily between 12:30 and 2 pm.
