Jägermeister supports Moto Cross racing

No sport can survive these days without generous sponsors from the industry and the economy. Those who have witnessed the enthusiam with which the men and women from the Windhoek Moto Cross Club (WMCC) organise and present their monthly championship races, can only be impressed. Like in most other sports codes, it’s only a handful of people who carry the burden of pulling off such a big event.
They do their work gladly and the Namibian media reports extensively on the activities of the WMCC. This has not gone by unnoticed and so three years ago “Jägermeister” – a product distributed and sold by Brockmann & Kriess – approached the WMCC and offered their financial support.
In the first year it was only a small sponsorship, but in the second year the idea was born to name the after-parties at the Gallina Moto Cross Park “Jägermeister-Party”. These MX-parties are legendary by now and Windhoek’s youth looks forward to them each month. The beer barn at the Gallina track is just the right place to host such a popular party. DJ Coco who has been part of the action every time, has done a great job in satisfying the different musical tastes of the audience. By all means, Jägermeister’s marketing people are very pleased and have already offered their support for the financial year 2007/2008.
On the 1st of August the cheque was handed over at the Gallina Moto Cross Park, situated on the Waldschmidt-Eggfarm. Sales-manager Rene Kruger from Brockmann & Kriess emphasised that his company noticed the marketing activities of the WMCC with fullest satisfaction and is surprised again and again at how this little club manages to host the monthly championship races and in addition the annual “Moto Cross Inter-Series”, the biggest MX-event of its kind on the African continent!
“We are glad to be a part of such an active club”, said Kruger. The chairman of the WMCC, Paul Loots, thanked him for the financial support amounting to N$ 25.000 and expressed the hope that Jägermeister will continue its support for the Namibian Moto-X-sport in future. “The costs for an MX-event are enormous and without you, we would have had to give up. We are very grateful for the support Jägermeister grants”, said a highly delighted Loots.
The next MX-championship race will be held on the 1st of September in Gobabis.
