The Annual General Meeting of the Ramblers Club was held on Thursday 09 August 2007. The following persons represent the Executive Committee:

The Executive Committee would like to thank the members for the vote of confidence and will endeavour to run the club to all members’ utmost satisfaction.
VIP CLUB
Our first draw of the 2007/2008 season will be held this Saturday (18 August 2007) as from 18h45 at the clubhouse. Together with our usual “Big Three” draws of N$ 1.000, N$ 2.000 and N$ 3.000 respectively we will have for the first time our “attendance” prize to the value of N$ 500 at stake. The draw will be accomplished with a delicious meal prepared by our club manageress Martina Lang.
VIP JACKPOT
The “19h00” Jackpot stands at N$ 500 while the “20h00” Jackpot is still untouched since being introduced at the beginning of July. It has accumulated to the amount of N$ 700. In order to claim these jackpots, you have to be at the club premises at these specific times.

OLD BOYS
The Old Boys bid farewell to our guests TSV Gellersen from Germany, who were touring Namibia for 16 days. A special “Thank you” from Ramblers Old Boys to the persons who made the visit for Gellersen an unforgettable trip, i.e. amongst others Puffi Rahn from the “Maltahöhe Hotel”, Ivo and Sandro de Gouveia and the Atlantis Club in Walvis Bay and Heinzi and Heide Kühl of Gabus Farm as well the organizers of the Otavi 5-a side tournament. Euch allen ein herzliches Danke Schön vom TSV Gellersen und Familie.
OTAVI 5-a SIDE
This annual event presented by the parents, teachers, scholars and friends of the Deutsche Privatschule Otavi was again perfectly organized and has established itself as a highlight of Old Boys soccer in Namibia. Our under 40 section successfully defended their title and won against DTS 5-0 , SFC 3-0 and Atlantis 2-0 while playing to a goalless draw against SKW. The team consisted of Raymond Botes, Mark Kutzner, Karsten Meissner, Ockies Oosthuizen, Mario Reiter, Christoph Scholz and Lorenz von Somnitz. Our over 40 section played yet again second fiddle and came second behind SKW. This team was made up by Harald Hecht, Gaius Müller, Harald Preschel, Manni Schier,Alfred Tjazuku, Richard Wahl and Uwe Wolff. A highlight for the spectators was seeing our Heiko “GV” Denker playing on Sunday morning in a genuine “Aussie Football Rules” dress and therefore making Harald Hecht paying a handsome donation to the school. Good on yah, mate Heiko!

OLD BOYS LEAGUE
The second round of the Old Boys league kicked off on Wednesday and we wish both Ramblers Old Boys and OTB Sport Ramblers all the best of luck.
