Tsumeb Cultural Village
The Community Project “Tsumeb Cultural Village” is an Open Air Museum, inviting tourists and locals to get an insight into the rural life of Namibian tribes. it displays the life of the majority of Namibians, showing their work and skills in art and craft as well as history and culture. Guided tours can be arranged and you may enjoy some refreshing local speci-alities like oshikundu (a cool drink made from Mahangu).

The Meteorite Kiosk
One of the main attractions around Grootfontein is the Meteorite on the farm Hoba, some 17 km west of the town. It is the largest meteorite in the world. It is estimated that this meteorite fell to earth approximately 80 000 years ago. It weighs up to 50 tons (representing a large mass of iron, nickel and cobalt.
But did you know that there is a kiosk selling cold beer, biltong and surios. There are also braai facilities available, as well as clean toilets and showers.
