Simmentaler Bull sold for N$ 45 000 Friday 24th of August 2007 The first national Simmentaler bull auction that was hosted by Agra on Thursday, 16 August at the Agra/Standard Bank Ring, can be considered to have been truly successful. The most expensive bull of the day belonged to Ulla van Biljon and was sold to Werner Kauert of Okahandja for N$45 000.16 bulls were sold at an average price of N$ 26 437.50. This is the first national elite Simmentaler bull auction to be held. According to Kiep Lepen, Manager of Agra stud-animals services, this auction can be regarded as extremely successful. Exceptional quality bulls were on offer, and stud-farmers as well as commercial farmers were awarded the opportunity to purchase these superior animals at this first elite Simmentaler bull auction that was hosted by Agra.
