RÖSSING BIRDWATCHING DAY – Friday, 7 September 2007

Rössing mine is hosting its seventh BIRDWATCHING DAY on Friday, 7 September 2007.
There are a number of activities scheduled for the day.
The main event starts at 09:00 when Rössing’s Manager: Sustainable Development & Environmental Management, Frances Anderson, will formally launch the Rössing Birdwatching Day, at the Ministry of
Fisheries and Marine Resources Conference Centre, Swakopmund.
Pupils from Arandis, Swakopmund and Walvis Bay high schools will participate in identifying birds at the Swakop River mouth. Dr Sandra Dantu of the Jackass Penguin Rehabilitation project will present an interesting talk on the project.

11:00 At the Swakop River mouth: Identify bird species and complete species list
