Friday 14th of September 2007 VIP CLUB back The second draw of the VIP Club will be held on Friday 12 October 2007. More information will follow in due course. VIP JACKPOT Our Jackpots become more (financially) attractive by the week and the first draw at 19h00 is standing tonight at N$ 900-00 while our “20h00” Jackpot is now standing at an amount of N$ 1.100-00. For those who might not know, our club manageress Martina Lang prepares always a delicious meal on Friday evenings. MAIN FIELD Our main soccer field requires urgent maintenance and will therefore be closed with immediate effect until the end of September 2007. BRAVE WARRIORS Our skipper Michael Pienaar was part of the successful campaign of the national soccer side to qualify for the African Cup of Nations. The “Brave Warriors” managed through a late goal to win 3-2 in Ethiopia and thus qualifying as one of 16 African nations for the finals to be held in Ghana in 2008. Well done to Michael and the team and coaching staff of our national side. May this be a boast for the upcoming Premier League which will kick-off at the end of September 2007 OLD BOYS SOCCER Ramblers Old Boys were defeated for the second time in this year’s Old Boys League when they lost 0 - 1 against Epukiro Old Boys. They are still on top of the league and need to win the last two matches of the season to defend the title. On Wednesday OTB Sport/Ramblers was on the winning side when they beat Epukiro Old Boys by 3 – 2. Congratulations to Mark Brinkmann and his boys! We will also participate at the annual Horsti Pietzsch Cup next month, which will be hosted by Swakopmund Football Club (SFC) on Saturday 06 October 2007 at the coast. |
