Moto Cross Inter-Series 2007- Camel MX Dash for Cash Saturday 6th of October 2007 The time has come again! The 11. edition of the annual international Moto Cross “Inter-Series” takes place on 3rd of November as well as on the 10th of November. Noteworthy is the fact, that the 1st run on November 3rd will be counting towards the “AMU Championship Southern Africa”, in short called “Southern Challenge”. This mega motorsport event in Namibia gains official recognition from the African Motorcycle Union.Promoter of this highlight in motorsports is once more the Windhoek Moto Cross Club, who organise mx-racing in Namibia for the past 35years exactly. While the first race on Novemver 3rd gets sponsored by Messrs Red Bull, it was cigarette-giant Camel who came forward to sponsor the 2nd raceday on November 10th with the official name “Camel MX Dash for Cash” . Camel is part of the Inter-Series for the first time and paid a substantial amount of money to make this annual Moto-X event happen. Some good riders have been signed from Europe and the USA, but also top riders from Angola, South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Mozambique and of course host Namibia, are keen to take the “Namibia International Champion” title to their repective home-country. After the prize-giving the long “Tafel Lager Night” starts, fans have a chance to see the live performance of the renowned Band “Double Trouble”. Thereafter Namibia’s own “Big Brother-darling” Stefan Ludik & Band will perform live at the beer-tent provided by Namibia Breweries & Tafel Lager. Another highlight of this “Tafel Lager Night” is the F & H Freestyle Show with some European aces performing hair-raising aerobatics. F & H signed the worldchampionship runner-up in the year 2006, Libor Podmol from the Czech-Republik. After the “F & H Airshow” the “Tafel Lager Night” goes on with the Midnight-Show, DJ Coco and Double Trouble giving their best to entertain the crowd. All this was made possible by the generous support of Camel Cigarettes. Don’t forget: “Red Bull MX-Classic” on November 3rd and one week later, November 10th the “Camel MX Dash for Cash” with the biggest and best Party of the year 2007. The sponsorship was handed over by Diederick Muller, Area manager for Camel Cigarettes (right) at Gallina Motocross Park, to the chairman of the WMCC Paul Loots. Photo by Holger Kroemer |
