Let the Leisure Times roll! With these wotds, editor John Wheeling ends off his first - introductory - “note from the Editor”. One has to congratulate him on daring to create another Magazine, where others so easily waver. If the first edition - June 2008 - is anything to go by, the new addition to (mainly the tourism) market will be welcomed by many readers. As is promised on the front page, you find a very handy “pull-out map” of Swakopmund inside. But it is the refreshing style in which articles are written, which is even more fascinating.Tourists and interested Namibians find a lot of interesting facts in the “Leisure Times” (“Your Coastal Entertainment Resource”). A Golf Guide, the feature on Erich’s Restaurant (including the most famous recipe), Ondjambas (elephants), antique airplanes, a detailed report on darting lions, sulphur eruptions at the Coast, a Sail Charter  - you just can’t make up your mind about what to read first. And then there are the fun pages for young and old.  Well, all of this promises more and more information, education and above all “leisure”-reading in future editions. Welcome, John Wheeling! May you find supportive readers, advertising clients and people who share their wealth of information and pictures with you! Uf a teacher-turned-journalist needs anything else, you may tap from your optimism and fighting spirit. Without it, you would not have jumped into a water which might be infested with dangerous crocodiles. Watch out!
