It seems as if the crime in rural areas is increasing. Last week it was reported that theft syndicates were caught in the Leonardville and Uhlenhorst vicinities. This week the NAU took with concern note that one of its most devoted members in the Dordabis vicinity, the 71 year old Mr Mike Krafft and his wife Sabine were attacked and assaulted in their home. After they were assaulted, the robbers tied up the couple and escaped with money, weapons and other goods.
Farmers are again requested to continuously be alert of suspicious movements in their areas and to ensure to introduce safety measures as far as possible on their farms.
The NAU gave on various occasions’ safety tips for farmers. These tips are available at the NAU office.
