No official feedback has yet been received regarding the future of small stock marketing in Namibia. The NAU though took note that the Meat Board made a proposal to the Minister of Agriculture, Water and Forestry which has also been forwarded to the Monitoring and Implementation Committee for discussion.
According to information the Minister of Agriculture, Water and Forestry plans to forward the proposal of the Meat Board (and possibly adapted by the Ministry of Agriculture and/or the Monitoring and Implementation Committee) to all role-players for comments. The NAU will keep you updated about further developments.
