Namibia Breweries renovated three hospital wards at Windhoek Central Hospital, Katutura State Hospital and Oshakati State Hospital. These wards were handed over to the Minister of Health and Social Services on 11 July 2008. This is part of NBL’s broader contribution towards improving public health service provision in the country.

Namibia Breweries Limited (NBL) on Friday 11 July during consecutive handing over ceremonies held in Windhoek and Oshakati handed over three renovated hospital wards to the Ministry of Health and Social Services.
Earlier the company had adopted and invested N$ 130.000 in the renovation of hospital wards following the Ministry’s public appeal for assistance in its drive to implement infra-structural improvements in its hospitals. Beneficiaries were the Windhoek Cen-tral hospital’s School for Children with Cancer, the Occupational therapy ward at the Katutura hospital and the Paediatric Ward 10 at the Oshakati hospital.  The company said, it had selected the occupational therapy section on the basis of the large number of patience in need of reha-bilitation.
The project saw the active participation of NBL’s employees. The company’s engineering department oversaw the project while staff employees contributed through voluntary work and further helped raise funds for the children in Ward 8 West – at the Windhoek Central hospi-tal’s School for Children with Cancer.
