occer stars from Swakopmund will travel all the way to Lüderitzbucht this month to meet up with fellow players in friendly matches. It is the first time the Premier Construction Blue Boys will play against the Lüderitz Blue Boys in the southern harbour town. According to regional councillor Fluksman Samuehl of the Lüderitz constituency, who spearheads the event, netball teams will also match up for a friendly. Apart from sportsmanship, the event also has a deeper purpose."The event on 30 and 31 August will mark the beginning of the pledge and total commitment to fight Aids on the part of those involved in sport in Lüderitz," Councillor Samuehl said on Monday. The sports event is to become a yearly occasion.
