This Friday night we play DTC at 19H00 on the DTS field in the last league game of the season. If we can win this one, we will end up in third position on the log. Good luck guys!!

LADIES SOCCER

Jacky Gertze, Stephanie Hummel and Julia Halweendo have been selected for the national side that left for Harare on 12 August to compete in an international tournament. Good luck ladies!! Dietlind Foerster, Queen Manga and Iyaloo Shimutwikeni were also selected, but unfortunately had to withdraw from the side due to private commitments. OLD BOYS SOCCER

Two Ramblers sides competed in the 5-a-side tournament last weekend in Otavi. Both teams - the under 40’s as well as over 40’s - made it to the finals on Sunday, but playing without any reserves the going was extremely tough against a very determined SKW. The under 40’s had no chance against the active Social Soccer league side from SKW losing 0:4 whilst the over 40’s put up a courageous fight against their counterparts. In the end, however, the numerical advantage of SKW resulted in a 5:3 victory for SKW. Christopher Hentzen scored all three goals for Ramblers in the final. Uwe Wolff won the award as best goalkeeper of the tournament thanks to some stunning saves in all four games. Well done, Uwe!

The next tournament will be hosted by Atlantis in Walvis Bay on 30/31 August
