Athletics Namibia announced the Namibian Athletic team that will represent the country at the World Athletics Championships in Paris, France on the 23rd to the 31st August 2003. Bank Windhoek sponsored T-shirts, bags and cap for the athletes to wear during the championships.

The team consist of Frankie Frederick’s {100&200m Agnes Samaria [800m} Tobias Hiskia marathon, Willie Smith {400m} and Cristie van Wyk 100m.The team will leave on the 20th of this month and foreign athletes will join the team in France. Athletic Namibia vice President Alpha Kangueehi is very optimistic about the team and he believes that the likes of Frank will keep the Namibian flag high. He also promised that the team would bring some medal home.
