The final results of the SWATRUST Closed Chess Championships, which were concluded last weekend, are as follows:

Ovcrall winner and Namibia Chess Champion for 2003 with 7 out of 8 possible points is Werner Tjipueja.

Second came Rashwan Saad with 6.5 points and third came Max Nitzborn with 6 points.

Werner and Rashwan have now qualified for the 2004 Chess Olympics, which will take place in Mallorca.

The 2004 Closed Championships will be held in March that year so as to determine three more participants for the Olympics.
