Windhoek Optics Ramblers experienced a disastrous weekend when both games were lost to Black Africa and Tigers. Come on guys, you can do much better! All that is required is a little bit of discipline and commi-tment! Our team is currently in sixth position on the log.

This weekend we are travelling to Swakopmund where we are playing Trans Namib in the first round of the NFA Cup. Good luck!

Our hockey ladies are currently in outstanding form in the Top Score 5-a-side tournament.

Last Friday night Namcol were beaten 5:0 in most convincing fashion. Dietlind Foerster gave Ramblers an early two goal lead with newcomer Nicolene Diener also scoring two goals,but Monika Ihms scored the most spectacular goal through a top corner shot after a long solo run. Jackie Gertze also had an outstanding game. Ramblers are currently in third position in the logstandings. Eight teams are participating in the ladies section. This Friday night at 19H30 we are playing against the professional team and current logleaders Civics B. Good luck,ladies!

The Top Score 7-a-side fixtures for this Friday evening and the results of the previous week can be seen at the bottom of this page. The tournament is a „real hit" with the crowds!! Well done! SOCIAL SOCCER LEAGUE Windhoek Optics Ramblers will be entering a second side in the Social Soccer League once again this year. After the tremendous successes last season with former coach Clemens Khaiseb it is Edwin Ockhuizen who will try his luck this season. The first practice session will be held on Monday, 3 March 2003 at 18H30. The first tournament is the Ericsson Cup to be hosted by SKW on 14-15 March where we will be the defending cham-pions. All interested players are invited to attend the first practice session next week.
