"Guilty"

Deputy Prosecutor General Jackson Kuutondokwa pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of liquor. He admitted he drove under the influence on 8 December 2002. His car had crashed into a precast concrete boundary wall.

 

Black Empowerment

South Africa’s Finance Minister Trevor Manuel will devote one billion rand to black economic empowerment. He announced increases in "sin taxes": 20 cigarettes will cost 64 cents more, a 340 ml can of beer 4 cents more, a litre of wine 21 cents more and a bottle of spirits R 1.76 more.
