Popular Windhoek Mayor Matthew Shikongo was elected for another term in the City chambers on Wednesday night. Councillor Joseph Auala, his deputy, also remained in that post. Mayor Shikongo said Windhoek should be „cleaned up" to become a crime-free city. With the next countrywide municipal elections coming up in May this year, it is expected that new faces will be voted into the City Council. Photo: Brigitte Weidlich |
