HOCKEY

The Ramblers Hockey ladies won the Premier Pepsi All Day Indoor Tournment last weekend at DTS!! They beat WOB 2:1 in the final. WOB were leading 1:0 with two minutes of playing time to go when Silke Pennefather equalised for Ramblers and Anke Haensel scored the winning goal with only seconds to go.

Yolande Fourie was the Ramblers player of the tournament.

In the Ladies First Division Ramblers Smarties took the honours when they beat Unam in the final with a 2:0 advantage. Our player of the tournament was Marie Friede.

Our senior team took third place in the Ladies First Division and Candice Coetzee was the player of the tournament.

Ramblers Hockey would like to thank their loyal supporter LUPO for supporting all Ramblers teams at DTS on Saturday!

Last Monday night the following Indoor League games were played:

Ladies Premier: beat arch rivals Unam 3:1 with Juanita Thorburn(2) and Anke Haensel the goalscorers. The first round of the league has been completed now and Ramblers are top of the log!

Ladies Second: lost their match to WOB 0:2. This team received shirts sponsored by Ericsson which will be used for Indoor and Field Hockey. Thank you very much, Robert Glück!

Mens Premier: beat WOB 7:5. The goalscorers were Reagon Craig(3), Garreth Hutton(2), Jan Steenkamp(1) and Coenie Wessels(1). They are currently second on the log. Congratulations, Ramblers Hockey, on these outstanding achievements! WINDHOEK OPTICS RAMBLERS

Our team travels to Mariental this weekend where we meet Young Chiefs in the third round of the NFA Cup. The game is scheduled for Sunday at 10H00.

LADIES SOCCER / TOP SCORE 7-a-SIDE

Our ladies soccer team earned another well deserved victory when they beat Nampower 1:0 last Friday night. Numerous goal scoring opportunities were created and just before the final whistle Jacky Gertze scored the winner for Ramblers who are now leading the logstandings!

Hubert Hester was not at the Club to claim the jackpot last Friday night. This means that the Friday jackpot is now at N$ 300.

RAMBLERS RESERVE TEAM

We will start with a Ramblers Reserve team this year for all scholars over the age of sixteen years. Training will be Tuesdays and Thursdays from 17H00 to 18H30 at Ramblers and starts on 02 March 2004!! The coach will be Richard Wahl.
