On Friday, 19 March, the registration and first round of this year’s Chess Championship will take place in the VIP Lounge of the Namibia Breweries (Showgrounds). The final round will be played on Monday, 22 March.The Tournament Director will be Hans-Jürgen Schäfer. Two players are still to be selected for this years Olympics in Mallorca (Spain). Two more are already selected (Werner Tjipueja and Rashwan Saad). W. Oosthuizen and Allison still have to play out for the "junior" place in the team.

19 March: 14h00 - 18h00 (round 1)

20 March: 08h00 - 12h00 (round 2)

14h00 - 18h00 (round 3)

21 March: 08h00 - 12h00 (round 4)

14h00 - 18h00 (round 5)

22 March: 08h00 - 12h00 (round 6)

14h00 - 18h00 (round 7) followed by the Prize Giving
