Ramblers

HOCKEY

Two league games were played last weekend. In the Ladies Second League we lost 0:2 against DTS. But with every game you can see an improvement, well done ladies!

In the Mens Second League Ramblers also lost 2:6 to a very juvenile Unam team. This was the first match for Ramblers, so with practice this can only improve. Marc Nel and Michael Feldmann scored for Ramblers.

WINDHOEK OPTICS RAMBLERS As expected Windhoek Optics Ramblers easily beat Young Chiefs 17:2 last weekend in Mariental. Goalscorers were Henrico Botes(6), Costa Khaiseb(4), Victor Helu(2), Charlie Aoseb(2), Ali Majiedt(2) and Michael Pienaar(1).

This means that we have now advanced to the quarter finals of the NFA Cup where we will meet Black Africa on 27 March in Windhoek.

This weekend we are travelling to Gobabis where we will play in the first

round of the inaugural Sam Nujoma Cup. The fixtures for this tournament had not yet been finalised at the time of going to press.

Good luck guys!

LADIES SOCCER / TOP SCORE 7-a-SIDE

Ramblers Hockey lost to Ramblers Tasly 0:2 last Friday night. The Tasly girls deservedly won this match and demonstrated fine combinational foot-ball.

Ramblers Hockey, however, are still leading the logstandings! Results of last week and the fixtures for this Friday appear in this issue of PLUS.

RAMBLERS STRIDERS Ramblers Striders had eight parti-cipants in the Joseph and Snyman run and walk held on 21 February. Ronelle Swart won the 6 kilometre walk. Well done, Ronelle!!

VIP

Jorge da Purificacao was not at the Club to claim the jackpot last Friday night.

This means that the Friday jackpot is now at N$ 400.
