The owner of Farm Otjihaenamaparero on which the famous dinosaur track are found, was attacked by three bandits, two of them former employees. Last Friday, Mrs Strobel was locked up in the pantry of the farmhouse, after she was threatened with a knife. The thieves stole various goods. When her husband arrived with four German tourists from a hunting trip, they were also attacked and locked in the bathroom. Mr Strobel had to surrender the safe keys attached to the car keys. The main suspect, Festus Amukwaya forced Strobel to go to the car and fetch the keys. Strobel took a revolver from the cubbyhole and shot at 2 suspects, who ran away. Amukwaya was found dead and the other suspect was later found in Otjiwarongo.

Amukwaya (29), attacked several tourists near the dinosaur tracks in the past year. He was inexplicably set free in last month, despite several cases of theft.
