WINDHOEK OPTICS RAMBLERS Windhoek Optics Ramblers are once again not playing this weekend as all outstanding league games will be played. The last match played was against Black Africa in the NFA Cup quarterfinal on 15 May where we lost 0:1.

OLD BOYS

Ramblers Old Boys won their last league game of the first round against Young Ones 1:0 on 12 May. In a hard fought battle Gunter Penzhorn scored the deserved winner for Ramblers ten minutes before the end.

Ramblers are still undefeated and remain the logleaders.

Well done guys!!

The second round of the Old Boys league resumes on 18 August 2004.

TOP SCORE 7-a-side

The finals of this popular tournament were played last Friday night at Ramblers. Both Ramblers sides played in the semi finals of ladies division. Ramblers Hockey lost 0:1 to eventual tournament winners Civics Sharks whilst Ramblers Tasly beat NBC 1:0 to advance to final. Civics Sharks beat Ramblers Tasly 1:0 in the final and Ramblers Hockey beat NBC 1:0 by penalties in the play off for third place.

Cymot once again won the men’s division. The tournament was a tremendous success with over 5000 spectators having attended the matches over the last few weeks. Thank you to everyone who made this possible!! The sponsors Top Score have already confirmed their commitment for next year and the Ramblers Club thus looks forward to welcoming even more participants for 2005!!

AGM Our annual general meeting will take place at the club house next Thursday, 10 June at 19H00. The AGM is the most important meeting of the year and all Ramblers members are urged to support this important occasion. The Ramblers Club is your club!

All interested persons are also invited to attend.

The weekly jackpot has climbed to a whopping N$ 900 as Ian Kemp and Siggi Frewer were not at the Club during the last two Fridays when their numbers were drawn.

Remember, in order to claim the jackpot you have to be at the club on Friday evenings at 19H00.

Also, we have got the final big draw for the 2003/2004 VIP Club this coming Friday evening where N$ 6000 have to be won.
