The Namibian Sports Union in conjunction with Namibia Beverages will hold a regional tournament to select an U/19 football team that will play in the Gothia Cup later this year. The event is called the Coca Cola National Regional Challenge and all 13 regions will partake in this event on the 18 and 19 June in Windhoek. Coca Cola sponsored the event with some N$ 150 000.

The winning region will receive N$ 50 000, the runner-up will grab N$ 30 000, while the 3rd place will pocket N$ 20 000. At the same occasion Bank Windhoek gave a cheque of N4 18 475 to the NSSU to strenghthen their human resource base. Total Namibia will help the Union with fuel for the remainder of the year and will also give N$ 10 000 in kind for travelling expenses..
