Friday 23rd of July 2004 HOCKEY Our Mens Premier side lost to DTS 2:3 last Saturday. Ramblers were leading 2:0 at half time with both goals being scored by Reagon Graig, the Namibian National Team vice-captain. Playing with eight under 18 players, Ramblers just lacked that little extra bit of experience to secure the win in the second half. DTS came back strongly in the second half and scored three goals to seal the victory. Our youngsters are, however, improving with every game and the future for Ramblers Mens Hockey looks very promising indeed. This weekend the following games will be played in the National league at the Jubber (Union) fields: Saturday, 14H00: Ladies Seconds vs WOB Saturday, 14H00: Ladies vs Unam Please support our ladies in these very important matches! OLD BOYS Please also note that the popular 5-a-side tournament will once again be held in Otavi on 31 July / 1 August. There will be an under 40 and an over 40 division. VIP CLUB Manni Schier was not at the Club last Friday night to claim the N$ 500 at stake, but was in the South somewhere recovering from the Fish River hike. The weekly jackpot for this Friday climbs to N$ 600 accordingly. See you all at the Club at 19H00 on Friday!! |
