In a Press Release signed by NAU-President Jan de Wet, the NAU is concerned about two attacks on farmers within one week. The release reads:

With great concern the Namibia Agricultural Union takes note of the two attacks on farmers within one week and expresses its sympathy with the relevant farmers, namely the elderly Knouwds couple of the farm Marlo in the Stampriet district and the armed attack on Mr F Blume of the farm Starnberg in the Grootfontein district.

The NAU expresses its discontent towards the attacks on soft targets and urgently requests the Police to track down the culprits and let the law take its course. We would like to thank the Police for their fast actions so far in both incidents.
